Nepali Congress (NC) central leader Gagan Thapa has remarked that the young generation will file candidacy for the post of party general secretary during the upcoming 13th General Convention of the party. He said that youth office bearers should have role at the decision making level. Thapa said he would run for the general secretary post if any other youth does not come forward.
Speaking at a programme organised by the reporters club in Dang on Sunday, leader Thapa said the top brass leaders of the party should play the role of guardians, while the second-rung leaders should become candidate for the president.
“The first generation leaders should become the guardian, current general secretaries should stand for presidency, and the youth should run for general secretary,” said Thapa.- See more at
