A patrol team of police arrested three people while they were ferrying illegal clothes worth Rs 300,000 in Chhapkaiya of Birgunj-2 in Parsa district in the wee hour of Monday.
The arrestees have been identified as Nabin Kunwar, a driver from of Thaiba in Lalitpur district and two others Mohammad Anbar and Mohammad Firoz of Chhapkaiua.Acting on a tip-off, the police team deployed from Ward Police Office, Birta had impounded the vehicle (Na 1 Ja 3301) with the clothes.
The seized clothes and vehicle have been sent to the Office of Revenue Investigation, Pathalaiya for further investigation, informed police.
